• Remember Me; What Remains
DESCRIPTION:

Remember Me; What Remains was a poetic response to species loss within Melbourne's city landscape. I broadcast the advertisement calls of the now locally-extinct Growling Grass Frog (Litoria raniformis) from the System Garden tower at The University of Melbourne. For a fortnight during the 2013 Liquid Architecture festival Sonic City, I sat on the Missing Persons seat in Carlton Gardens and broadcast the same call between 5pm and 6pm when I imagined the frogs would begin their nightly chorus.

With special thanks to Emeritus Professor Murray Littlejohn whose pioneering recordings of the bio-acoustic calls of Southern Australian frogs has significantly contributed to international research on evolutionary biology.
